£600 + raised by Quarry House Angling
Club’s competition in aide of St Gemma’s Hospice

The weather was
very bright and warm and ideal conditions for fishing. Whilst some pegs proved
more popular with the fish than others a good day was had by all of the 13
members and friends who turned up to donate their "pools" money
and fish for charity. The total weight of fish caught on the day was
160lbs and 8 ozs - see below for details.
So far St Gemma’s
hospice has benefited by more than £600 from the event. Many thanks to everyone
who sponsored it but please note that it’s not too late to help the cause just
visit: http://www.justgiving.com/quarryhouseanglingclub.
The lucky
sponsor who estimated closest to the exact weight of fish was none other
than the club’s treasurer George Roe! He wins restaurant vouchers.
Anyone interested in joining the
club should contact George Roe on ext 24244 or John Douglas on ext 27547.
